Even though there really is no particular recipe for this...I thought what a gorgeous platter and a great idea for a summer barbecue, party or luncheon. So after I made this I decided to take some pictures for all of you. Just another idea for those delicious beefsteak tomatoes and avocados!!
Very simply...slice 2 beefsteak tomatoes and lay them on a platter. Drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Top with some torn basil.
Slice your avocados lengthwise so they lay flat and look beautiful.
Top all with some whole basil leaves. I happen to have a purple basil plant. It tastes exactly the same as the green and is sooo pretty if you have never seen one. I used both here....some purple and a couple larger green in the middle. But just using green is perfectly fine!!
Use a balsamic glaze...and drizzle the whole platter going back and forth in lines.
It is a beautiful....no cook platter that will take you ten minutes to put together but will look like a gourmet chef put it together....haha. It's all good stuff!! ENJOY!!
