I make a lot of different dishes for a lot of different people......but this one is all for me. It may sound silly, but this is one of my personal favorites. I love cannellini beans and when you pair it with the broccoli and a crazy amount of garlic....I'm happy!! I can't explain, you will just have to take my word for it and give it a try.
BROCCOLI & CANNELLINI BEANS
1 WHOLE HEAD OF BROCCOLI 1 15 OZ CAN OF CANNELLINI BEANS 1 WHOLE HEAD OF GARLIC OLIVE OIL
Cut the head of broccoli into small florets. Slice the garlic using that amazing Pampered Chef Garlic Slicer. I absolutely love the perfectly thin slices if produces every time. Heat 3 TBLSP of olive oil in a large saute pan. Add the broccoli and garlic and saute over a medium/high heat for 10 to 12 minutes or until as soft as you like your broccoli. You may need to add some more olive oil as it cooks since the broccoli with soak it up quickly. Just drizzle in some more as needed.
Drain and rinse your cannellini beans then add and continue cooking until heated through.
Anything with this much garlic has to be fantastic!! But really, the broccoli and beans together with the garlic.....YUM!!!! It's a fantastic side dish when you tired of the plain old steamed broccoli and soooo good for you. Tonight, I paired it with a great burger with chopped onions running through it, a huge, thick slice of a beefsteak tomato, some pickles and ketchup!!!
