YES!!!! Here is another unbelievable fritter recipe from our Chef Lisa!!!! Her Corn Fritter recipe is amazing and this one.....crazy good!!!!! This is such a treat and sooo easy to make at home. The batter takes 10 minutes to throw together, a couple minutes in the fryer and......OMG!!!! Make these at your next party, your family and friends will be sooooo impressed. We make these at our family get togethers with our family and Lisa's family. Everyone sits around the table, playing games, laughing...and waiting for the next batch to come out. The fun is seeing who gets them!!! So on the next cold or rainy day....hang out with some great friends and make some fritters......our kind of family fun!!!!
APPLE FRITTERS
2 CUPS FLOUR 1 CUP MILK 2 TSP BAKING POWDER 2 TSP SALT 1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR 2 TSP CINNAMON 1/2 TSP NUTMEG 2 TSP VEGETABLE OIL 4 EGGS 3 APPLES DICED
CINNAMON SUGAR FOR ROLLING (1 CUP SUGAR + 1 TBLSP CINNAMON)
To begin this recipe you will want to heat your oil. I like to use a dutch oven to fry but if you do not have one, you can use a deep stock pot or a deep fryer. You will want to heat the oil to approximately 350 degrees. This could take a bit so begin heating your oil.
The rest of this recipe is a piece of cake!!! Dice up your apples into tiny pieces like this.......
Add the brown sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon and stir well to coat all apples. Then just get all the other ingredients including the last 1 tsp of cinnamon into another mixing bowl and mix together well. Then just add the apples in are you are ready to go!!!!! That's it, your done!!! Couldn't be simplier!!!!
Here is where you have to be extremely careful.......drop the batter into the oil using a tablespoon. But it may splatter so please ....be very careful!! Just go slowly!! Fry approximately 2 to 3 minutes on each side until a deep golden brown. We usually like them extra crunchy so we let them stay a minute or two more.
Lay them on a paper towel just for a minute when they are done and get them right into a bowl of cinnamon sugar!! Now....you can even kick it up a notch and have some dipping choices to go along side if you really want to make this a party!! You can do melted chocolate, hot carmel sauce, or a whipped cream!! Thanks Lisa, for another great fritter recipe!!!! Can't wait for more!! ENJOY!!! ALL GOOD STUFF!!!
