Crepes are so amazingly delicious and fun to make. It takes just a minute to throw everything into a blender to make the batter. Then you can make so many of them so quickly, because they only take a couple minutes in the pan. The best part is trying all different fillings. Savory or sweet, you can pretty much throw anything into a crepe, roll it up and it will be fantastic. Tonight is my son CJ's favorite.... NUTELLA!!! When we visited Italy last year, Nutella crepes were everywhere. My son fell in love with Nutella. I actually had to fight him for a bite of his Nutella crepe!! It was not easy. Since that trip, we have been making them ourselves pretty often. We can't resist!!
NUTELLA CREPES
1 JAR OF NUTELLA 2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR 2 CUPS WHOLE MILK 3 LARGE EGGS 4 TBLSP MELTED BUTTER 1 TBLSP SUGAR 1/4 TSP SALT
Put all ingredients EXCEPT the Nutella into a blender and puree until smooth, about 45 seconds. That is it!!! You are done....easy? Now, just let the batter sit for about 10 minutes.
Heat a small skillet over a medium heat. I like to spray the pan with cooking spray but you could also coat it with butter if you like. Add about 1/3 of a cup of the batter to the pan and swirl it around until it covers the whole bottom in a thin layer. Cook about 2 minutes or until beginning to become golden brown.
Loosen an edge with a rubber spatula and peel back slowly from the pan. Flip it over and cook the other side for 1 minute more.
Remove from the pan and go straight to the Nutella jar!!! Haha....really. They are best while they are still hot! Spread on a generous layer and fold in half, then in half again.
Or you can roll them up and cut into bite sized pieces. They look beautiful that way....and are great little bites for the kids. ENJOY!!
