If you want a simple crock pot recipe.....here it is!! Now, you can make and use my recipe for my Barbecue Sauce....or you can use a premade brand. If you do...I recommend Sweet Baby Rays.....but give mine a try sometime. You can actually double or even triple the recipe like I do so you will have plenty left for some other recipe next....maybe my rib recipe!! Or my Pulled Pork!!!
PULLED CHICKEN SANDWICHES
1 CHICKEN BREAST SPLIT IN HALF 6 CHICKEN THIGHS BARBECUE SAUCE 1 MEDIUM RED ONION SLICED THIN
SANDWICH ROLLS AND COLE SLAW FOR SERVING
In your crockpot.....add all chicken pieces, barbecue sauce ( about 3 cups) and sliced red onion. Just make sure it is enough sauce to just about cover all the chicken.
That's it....let it cook on high for about 6 hours. The only thing there is to do is.....after about 4 hours skim the fat off the top with a large spoon. Other than turning it once in a while.....that's it!!
When it is done just remove all the chicken and place on a plate. Remove all bones and skin. Pull apart with two forks......
Now just put all the meat back into the pot and stir back into all the barbecue sauce.
You can serve and enjoy it just like that.......for the ones watching their carbs.
Or you can put it on a great potato roll with some cabbage slaw.....and pickles!! Just like I like it!!!! ENJOY!!!!!!
