Pickling onions is such a simple process yet it adds so much to any sandwich, burger or salad. Big flavor....little time.....I'm in!! You can also make this in big amounts and it will keep in the refrigerator nicely for a week or two. So you can do it when ever you have the time and be ready for any sandwich that comes your way!!!
PICKLED RED ONION
1 LARGE RED ONION 2 CUPS WATER 1 CUP APPLE CIDER VINEGAR 2 TBLSP SUGAR 1 TBLSP SALT
Couldn't be any easier.....slice your onion....
Whisk the water, vinegar, sugar and salt in a large bowl and add all the onion in. Let it sit and soak for at least 3 hours.....the longer the better!! That's it!!
Tonight I am putting it on my Lamb Burger along with that delicious Tzatziki Sauce we made also. It is all soooooo good together. And when we are done...I store it all in a mason jar and refrigerate for next time.
